Element 50

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Element 50 collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when players use the game on web and mobile platforms. The game can be played without creating an account. Optional account features use Firebase services for sign-in and cloud save.

Effective date: March 16, 2026 Applies to web and Android builds General audience / account and cloud save disclosure

Summary

Element 50 does not require an account to play. If a player does not create an account, gameplay progress can remain stored locally on the device. If a player creates an account, we use Firebase Authentication for sign-in and Firebase Firestore for cloud progress storage.

We may use Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns, but only if the player opts in. On first launch, the app asks whether to enable optional analytics. This choice can be changed at any time in Settings. Crash-reporting SDKs are not included in this release. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, we do not sell personal information, and we do not provide public chat, public profiles, or user-to-user content sharing inside the game.

Information We Collect

Depending on how the game is used, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Local gameplay data: local save files, unlocked progress, inventory, upgrades, flux balance, tutorial state, and other gameplay values stored on the device.
  • Account information: email address, password authentication data handled by Firebase Authentication, chosen callsign / display name, Firebase user ID, and account timestamps.
  • Cloud save information: gameplay progress synchronized to Firebase Firestore when the player signs in.
  • Optional analytics: app version, device and OS information, coarse usage events, and identifiers needed by Firebase Analytics to operate after consent.
  • Server processing data: limited request data sent to Firebase Cloud Functions to support gameplay features and account administration.
  • Support communications: if a parent, guardian, or player contacts us by email, we will receive the information included in that message.

We do not intentionally collect precise location data, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, camera recordings, or public social content for gameplay.

How We Use Information

  • To operate the game and preserve player progress.
  • To provide optional account sign-in and cloud save.
  • To secure the game, prevent abuse, and maintain admin tooling.
  • To measure aggregate usage and product quality after consent.
  • To respond to support or privacy requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Age Guidance and Minor Accounts

Element 50 is a general-audience game. It is not designed primarily for children under 13. However, core gameplay can still be used without creating an account, and local play does not require a public profile or public sharing.

If a player is below the age required to manage an online account in their region, a parent or legal guardian should create or manage any optional account-based features, including cloud save. If you believe personal information was provided without appropriate consent, contact us at nightly_lipids_9h@icloud.com. We will review and delete relevant information where appropriate.

We do not use behavioral advertising in the game and we do not offer open chatrooms, public messaging, or public user-generated content features.

Sharing and Service Providers

We may share information with service providers that process data on our behalf to operate the game. Our current infrastructure includes Google Firebase services, including Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics, and Hosting.

  • Firebase Authentication: account sign-in and credential handling.
  • Firebase Firestore: cloud save and profile data.
  • Firebase Cloud Functions: server-side game and account operations.
  • Firebase Analytics: opt-in aggregate usage measurement.
  • Firebase Hosting: publication of policy and support pages.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users and the service, or in connection with a business restructuring. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and Security

We keep local save data on the device until it is overwritten, the app data is cleared, or the app is removed. Cloud account and progress data are retained until the account is deleted or the data are otherwise no longer needed for the service.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can play without creating an account and keep progress local only.
  • You can stop using cloud save by signing out.
  • You can request a password reset through the app sign-in flow.
  • You can request deletion of the account and cloud data using the in-app flow or the instructions on the delete-account page.
  • Analytics is disabled by default. On first launch, you will be asked whether to enable optional analytics. You can change this choice at any time in the in-app Settings panel under "Data & Analytics." If you decline, no analytics data will be collected.

Account and Data Deletion

To delete an account and associated cloud data, use the in-app account deletion flow or follow the instructions at delete-account.html.

Deleting an account removes the Firebase Authentication account and associated cloud save/profile records. Device-local guest saves are stored separately on the device and may remain until the app data are cleared or the app is removed.
